Lovely place to stay with great access to the peak district — Alice (AirBnB review), 20 Sep 2020
Really, really, really good. Clean, well-lit and packed with nice little touches - fresh bread, board games, Netflix, loads of storage space - that make this feel like an actual home. In no particular order: the wifi worked great, the corner sofa is literally the most comfortable thing I've ever sat in, there were delicious chocolate biscuits in a little glass jar, the heating comes on within about nine seconds, there's free parking outside and you're about 400 metres from an incredible view of the Peak District. We'll be coming back. — Jonathan (AirBnB review), 12 Sep 2020
Ann is wonderful host, who is very helpful and provides all the relevant information in advance. The property is very clean and very tastefully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. — Gunwant (AirBnB review), 24 Aug 2020
I could not recommend the glass house more. It’s an absolutely beautiful house with lots of character, really comfortable and clean. Really Excellent cooking utensils and a lovely cooker/oven. It’s the perfect location to explore the peaks and it’s very close to lots of lovely pubs and restaurants and is in the centre of Bollington Ann is a lovely host and very helpful- lots of local tips. There are a few good local walks from the house and the canal is close. Bollington boats and bikes is a great way to see the area via the canal and have more than on the website if you ask- also very well priced and highly recommend ! Great place and we had a lovely stay !!! Thanks Ann — Sarah (AirBnB review), 16 Aug 2020
Perfectly placed in Bollington for access to some gentle walking routes especially along the Macclesfield Canal path - although close to pubs, shops and bus stop the Glass house is set back from the road in a quiet car park. The cosy yet spacious feel inside is instantly relaxing and we felt 'at home' straightaway — Lionel (AirBnB review), 09 Aug 2020
Lovely space, great location and wonderful host - the extra touches (cake, wine, jams, milk, bread etc.) were very thoughtful and much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Bollington, visiting 3 of the local restaurants and walking the heritage trails from the cottage doorstep! Thank you Ann for ensuring we had a wonderful retreat from London! Highly recommended! — Chloe (AirBnB review), 31 Jul 2020
Great stay, great host, clear communication, no problems. — Peter (AirBnB review), 24 Jul 2020
The Glass House was the perfect accommodation for our a getaway to the Peak District. Ann was a great host and was very quick to respond to any questions we had. — Josh (AirBnB review), 19 Jul 2020
Very stylish and comfortable house! Ann is a lovely and kind host who helped us during isolation time when we could not get back home! It is well located in beautiful Bollington, steps away from the hills of Peak District! All was excellent, would recommend in a heart beat :) And now I want to move to Peak District! — Anastasia (AirBnB review), 05 Apr 2020
The Glass House was like a home from home for the weekend. A really good central location with access to pubs, shops, places to eat and walks from the doorstep. The rooms were comfy and well furnished and there were lots of lovely things left for us by the host (milk, butter, jams, a bottle of wine and a cake). We would definitely visit again! — Val & Neil (AirBnB review), 16 Mar 2020
The Glass House was a lovely place to stay and in a good location in the village. The home made touches and welcome bits Ann left for us were much appreciated after a long journey . The house was really nicely decorated with some nice touches. Ann welcomed us when we arrived and responded promptly if we had a question. If you are a keen walker this is a good base to explore the surrounding countryside. We would definitely stay again when we next visit the area. Thanks Ann for a nice stay. — Joanne (AirBnB review), 10 Mar 2020
A beautiful place to stay with free parking in the village centre. Would definitely recommend this place, a welcome cake and bottle of wine as well as bread and preserves were great additions. Thankyou Ann we really enjoyed our stay — Deborah (AirBnB review), 06 Mar 2020
We really enjoyed our stay and after having to book this last minute very pleased with the flexibility of Ann in allowing us to check in earlier. The rainy weather was disappointing, but the boardgames and excellent WiFi kept the kids busy. We would like to visit again in summer. Thank you. — Sankarasubramanian (AirBnB review), 21 Feb 2020
Cosy, spotlessly clean cottage. Ann was very welcoming and helpful. Thoughtful welcome pack including homemade jam and cake made us feel immediately at home. Good location with excellent choice of places to eat. — Amanda (AirBnB review), 17 Feb 2020
Ann is a wonderful hostess and the glass house is a reflection of this. I love Bollington and being in this location where you can walk, dine and shop is perfect I very highly recommend this cottage. — Lynda (AirBnB review), 27 Dec 2019
Superior quality accommodation! Clean and tidy, centrally located, very nice interior with comfortable furniture and fully equipped kitchen area. Ideal for two couples or a family. — Sigbjorn (AirBnB review), 05 Dec 2019
Having previously lived in Bollington for 2.5 years, The Glass House provided us with the feeling of being home again. Loved our stay. The cottage had character, style and a cosy upstairs living/kitchen area for those chilly days/evenings. Downstairs bedrooms/bathroom a little cooler but closing doors kept the bedrooms lovely and warm. Very quiet despite bordering the ‘free’ village carpark with the bonus that you are right in the heart of Bollington. Note there is no washer/dryer but access to a laundromat just over the road. Other than that we highly recommend The Glass House. — Andrea (AirBnB review), 24 Nov 2019
This is an excellent characterful accommodation. The host met us with a bottle of milk in one hand and a bottle of wine in the other! The cottage was so homely to come back to after a day out in the cold wet weather. Loved having Netflix to slob out to after either cooking a meal on the large range cooker or visiting one of the many excellent eateries in Bollington. Would book again if needing to be in this part of the country. — Niki (AirBnB review), 09 Nov 2019
We had a lovely stay at this amazing cottage. I can warmly recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice, cozy cottage in the Peak District. — Jenny (AirBnB review), 30 Oct 2019
Ann was very welcoming and left us helpful local information. The house is centrally located in Bollington with a bus stop close by and is perfect for 3 to 4 people, with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable sitting room. — Elizabeth (AirBnB review), 18 Sep 2019

Really great place and fantastic host. Couldn’t have asked for more. — Tasha (AirBnB review), 22 Aug 2019
Whilst our trip didn’t go according to plan due to illness we still had a lovely time staying at Ann’s place. Ann & Pete were great hosts, very friendly, accommodating and flexible. I don’t think they could have done more to make us feel more welcome. The Glasshouse is a lovely space, thoughtfully decorated and very well appointed. A great Airbnb experience all round. — Rich (AirBnB review), 30 Jul 2019

A tastefully decorated and spacious loft-style first floor living room/kitchen with exposed beams and leaded windows, generously equipped with cutlery and crockery. Wine, jam, butter, milk, bread thoughtfully provided. Two double rooms and bathroom below, lots of instant hot water for the shower. Parking easy in the adjoining free car park. Walking distance to pubs and restaurants - we enjoyed a very good Indian meal at the Viceroy. — Tim (AirBnB review), 16 Apr 2019
A stylist retreat in the heart of Bollington - friendly and helpful hosts and some great restaurants and pubs all within a short walk - will definitely come back. — Mick (AirBnB review), 28 Mar 2019

Great place. Great town. Great host. Stay there. — Martin (AirBnB review), 29 Dec 2018
Terrific property, absolutely home from home, completely kitted out with all amenities, spotless clean and actually a lot bigger inside than the photos assume. Very central for all local activities, shops and cafe and pubs all on your doorstep, property at rear of large free parking car park, so no noise at all from street. Public transport first class, canal walks are lovely. Definitely recommend this property. — Thomas (AirBnB review), 04 Nov 2018
You can expect a perfect stay at The Glass House. This home is thoughtfully appointed for maximum comfort, beauty, and practicality. Ann and Pete have thought of everything and are very attentive should a need arise. There is a helpful manual that is loaded with information one might need to operate the house, handle an emergency, and take enjoyment in the beautiful village of Bollington. The local shop owners are welcoming and provide the best goods and services, and the village is convenient to other worthwhile places to sightsee, dine, shop, or hop a train or a plane. Thank you Ann for also letting us park our motor home outside with hook up. You have a super gold mine here. See you soon. — Lin (AirBnB review), 03 Sep 2018
Beautiful and unique house, absolutely central to a wonderful village. Great amenities including a great kitchen, personal touches like home made marmalade, and good wifi. — Benjmin (AirBnB review), 30 Jul 2018
I stayed at The Glass House with my granddaughter on the first leg of a European trip from Perth , Australia. We found Anne’s house clean, warm and the beds were very comfortable to fall into at the end of the day. It was located in the centre of the older part of Bollington with shops within walking distance. There was a small convenience store that was open quite late useful for those little things we had forgotten. Ann left plenty of information about local places to visit and also local pubs and restaurants. We had a meal at the Lime Tree restaurant and found the food very nice and good value for money. There was a quaint outside courtyard that would have been a lovely place to relax with a drink in the afternoon or evening, unfortunately the weather was against this and it rained most days. We had a lovely time in The Glass House and would recommend it to other visitors — Patricia (AirBnB review), 21 Jun 2018
Lovely space with great upstairs living area. Very nicely located close to lots of shops and pubs. Being off the car park was never an issue, it’s always quite quiet. Thanks Ann! — Steve (AirBnB review), 11 Jun 2018
I booked this for my parents to stay in. Ann was quick to respond and helpful throughout the process of booking and checking in. My parents felt comfortable knowing they could easily get in touch with any issues (the wifi wasn't working when they arrived, which got resolved). At the same time, they also felt they had complete privacy. It is a super charming cottage and they really enjoyed their stay. My sisters visited and also commented on how lovely it is. The Glass House is comfortable, charming, stylish and cozy.

Ann's comment: Have to hold my hands up to the wifi issue - I'd flicked a switch by mistake!
— Sally (AirBnB review), 12 May 2018
You'll get a royal welcome from Ann at the Glass House. This is an "upside down" rental, with the bedrooms on the first floor and the lovely kitchen and living room upstairs. Everything is modern and new, but comes with old-fashioned hospitality--a loaf of bread offered as a welcome among the special touches. If you rent the Glass House, you won't want to leave, but do. There's much to enjoy in bustling Bollington--and all can easily be reached by foot from the Glass House. We will return! — Chris (AirBnB review), 06 Apr 2018
Ann & Pete are amazing hosts! Very responsive to our questions and very thoughtful with lots of extra touches! We really appreciated the tips on local restaurants and pubs, and ideas for things to do nearby. The cottage is absolutely beautiful! Comfortable, well decorated, clean, well located, and full of charm! We enjoyed exploring some local pubs in the evenings, and it made a great base for day trips! A wonderful place to come "home" to for our trip. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend The Glass House! — Amanda - AirBnB comment, 31 Mar 2018
What a great place. We've had a wonderful week here at The Glass House. The cottage itself suited us perfectly. The accomodation was great and it proved an excellent base for our visits out and evenings. We enjoyed days out to Lyme Park, Styal and Buxton amongst others. We visited several pubs and restaurants, all were good. We particularly enjoyed beer and food at The Church House and a pleasent hour at The Cotton Tree. We look forward to visiting again sometime soon. — Phil,Linda,Keith & Sue, 09 Mar 2018
The Glass House is a fantastic property in a excellent location, for to visit the country side. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to chill out and get some exercise. Also the pubs have good beer. I just love this place. I cant get enough of it. We will be back — Mr Hampson, 22 Sep 2017
We stayed in the Glass House, Bollington for 4 nights. This cottage is immaculate, and very nicely furnished. The owners, who troubled themselves to pop by and say hello, could not do more to make your stay comfortable. Bollington is a lovely village, and well stocked with nice pubs and eateries. It's kind of on the outskirts of the peaks, but it's an easy, panoramic drive to all the local sites and landmarks. We had a great stay, and would thoroughly recommend the Glass House. — Mr Martin, 08 Sep 2017
We were welcomed by Ann who explained about the Glass House and the area, and was close by if we needed any assistance during our stay. The Glass House was well appointed with two lovely bedrooms and bathroom downstairs and an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge upstairs. The Glass House is situated in the corner of the village car park. Don't let that put you off. We had the best nights sleep during our stay as it's so quiet, and due to its central location it is ideal for all the local facilities. The village of Bollington was perfect for us. Numerous pubs, lovely restaurants e.g. Tapas, Italian (our favourite) and has a great variety of quality local shops such as the butchers, bakers, and local deli selling lovely coffee and cakes! There is a co-op in the village if you wanted to stock up and self cater. There are several great walks right from your own front door, and easy access to other towns and villages to explore. Everyone we met in the area were extremely friendly and happy to stop and chat! Came home thoroughly relaxed and happy, just how holidays should be. Will definitely return to the Glass House. — Mrs Wright, 15 Aug 2017
We got a great welcome from Ann and she gave us good information about the local area and places to eat. The Glass House is a comfortable little cottage with great amenities all around. Fantastic walks, the White Nancy is well worth the climb to see the view over Bollington, Manchester and further afield. Welcome pack and the bottle of wine was appreciated after our journey down from Scotland. — Karen & family, 04 Aug 2017
The Glass House was sited perfectly in Bollington, with walking distance to a whole range of local eateries and walks, including the canal and White Nancy. Staying in Bollington was ideal to get to the Tatton Flower Show, Jodrell Bank, National Trust properties, Peak District walks and other Derbyshire towns. We fell in love with the upstairs living area of the property. No-one should be put off when it says The Glass House is in a car park; this wasn't a problem at all, as it wasn't busy or noisy and is not noticeable when inside. Indeed, at night time the view of lights of pubs and buildings in the main street sparkling through the wonderful window by the kitchen table gave us a connectiveness with the town. — Mrs McCall, 20 Jul 2017
Our stay in The Glass House ( a perfect cottage with every amenity we or anyone could desire) has proved to contribute to our most enjoable holiday. — Isabel & Trevor, 14 Jul 2017
Great comfortable accomodation, lots of good walks and places nearby to visit. Friendly people, nice restaurants, good food at The Holly Bush, The Crown and The Viceroy - really enjoyed our stay here. — Linda & David, 07 Jul 2017
The Glass House is an extremely nice place to stay, it is clean, tidy and well equipped, almost a home from home. Ann, the owner was waiting for us on arrival, she showed us around the accommodation and told us how everything worked even though there is a folder with all the information you need in the house. A nice touch was the complimentary coffee, biscuits, milk and bottle of wine. Ann also provided information about the town, local attractions, walks, pubs and eating places. There is a box with leaflets advertising places to visit in the area, we added a couple from places we visited during our stay. There is a free car park outside the front door of the house. We used the house as a base to tour the area and returning back every night was a pleasure. — Mr London, 30 Jun 2017
Lovely clean and well equipped cottage with a luxurious feel. The owners are readily available if needed, but otherwise leave you to enjoy your holiday. Good quality cottage at a reasonable price.
— Mrs Gillett, 23 Jun 2017
Excellent property. Well presented. More spacious than expected. Very comfortable. Lovely village with lots of walking from front door. Lots to choose from with regard to eating places again in walking distance. Lovely bakery just across the road and butcher less than 5 minute walk. Would certainly recommend. — Mrs Edwards, 26 May 2017
